What is it about doors?
Everywhere I go, their beauty, the architecture attracts my eye.
I know, I’m not the only one.
The fun, the flair, the je ne sais quoi!
Behind these gateways, the hopes, dreams and dramas in play.
There is an element of sticky-beakedness.
An innocent curiosity.
Doors call, ‘look at me!’ We do and begin to ponder.
What joy lays within. What secrets.
Old doors, new doors, admired for their artistry.
And the work of their creators.
Beautiful distractions from dreariness.
Reasons to stop and live in the moment. [93 words]

Some doors from my recent travels 😊
Dear Trish,
Doors either welcome or repel, don’t they? Our front door is bright yellow. I love it. Good story.

Yellow. Such a welcoming colour Rochelle. And (from our brief acquaintance) I would guess expresses your personality, perfectly!

Lots of cool doors going on here. I look at doors as portals between states of being.

When we were in Ireland, I photographed SO many doors. They seem to be a manner of expression in so many parts of the world. Nice take on the prompt,

That is so true! Not for nothing many bloggers participate in “Doors” challenges – while I don’t, I hold the same fascination as you and have quite the selection in my photos!
And what beautiful doors you have shared, too, Trish.

I wonder, are doors a statement of the occupants of the building/house/home?
