Ah! The result of fear of the unknown and a feverish imagination captured so well. There is a bat colony not far from my house, can’t believe how noisy they can be.
My husband and I visited Batemans Bay in NSW a few weeks ago. We were returning to our car when we heard seriously loud ‘bird noise’. So we followed the sound and found these trees covered in bats! Broad daylight, and thousands were hanging from the trees. And they were chattering.
It felt quite spooky as we crept closer to take a photo. Like we were worried they would attack!
I thought they only lived in dark cool places, like caves! 😅
Good sense of fear factor in this. 🙂
